Heartwood is white to pale yellow brown, darkening on exposure. Grain is shallowly interlocked and wavy. Texture is medium and even. The timber has a natural lustre with faint ribbon figure on quarter sawn faces. Sapwood is not well demarcated and is white. Resin content is present. Growth rings are not apparent.
